(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday President Biden joked about possibly getting impeached which touted the efforts of his administration to reduce inflation and boost American manufacturing.

During a speech at Auburn Manufacturing Inc. in Maine, Biden suggested that it was time for House Republicans to find something new to criticize him about as inflation has been dropping. He then joked that it is possible that they will still choose to have him impeached over it dropping.

Inflation which was at 9.1 percent in June 2022 has now dropped to just 3 percent this month, however, this is still higher than the 1.4 percent that existed when Biden became the President. Earlier this week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R) stated that following the recent revelations about possible financial misconduct by the Biden family, the Republican lawmakers might look into launching an impeachment inquiry against the President. In order to do so they would first need to bring forward articles of impeachment.

The process for impeachment can be quite lengthy or swift depending on the House’s handling of it, but as the campaign season for 2024 is well underway, an impeachment probe would most likely need to coincide with campaigning.

McCarthy, who first suggested impeachment on Monday during a Fox News interview, argued that they were going to take any inquiry “to the end.”

On Friday, Biden claimed on the other hand that his administration had done a lot for the economy, but that there was still work to do. He also added that his “Bidenomics” policies are just a way of bringing back the American dream.
