(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Sunday, during an appearance on MSNBC with host Jen Psaki, singer John Legend slammed the former President claiming that he was “inherently racist.” Legend also talked about the way that Trump had responded to the Black Lives Matter protests after the murder of George Floyd in 2020. At the time Trump had been the president.

As Legend pointed out during the protest for the murder of Floyd, Trump had been out advocating for the military to shoot those on the streets. He added that throughout his life Trump had been clear about his belief that Black people were inferior.

Then-Defense Secretary Mark Esper had reportedly stated that Trump in 2020 had asked whether the authorities would be able to shoot protesters in the legs during the unrest in the United States.

Former chair of the Joint Chief of Stuff in 2020, Gen. Mark Milley told The Wall Street Journal that it had been Trump’s idea to have law enforcement handle protesters and to “crack their skulls.”

Trump has throughout his life faced accusations of racism, including in 2016 after he had launched his political campaign and had claimed that immigrants were criminals and “racists.” Earlier this year he had also claimed that because of his recent criminal indictments, he would gain support among “Black people.”

In February Trump had stated in South Carolina that the “Black people” who had been hurt and discriminated against by the country’s system would be able to recognize the discrimination that he was fighting against. He added that it was fairly amazing, but that there could potentially be “something there.”

On Sunday Legend also referred to how Trump was going to avoid renting units in his buildings according to FBI information.
