(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Monday, former first lady Hillary Clinton became the latest Democrat to mock South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R) following the release of a passage from her forthcoming book in which she details how she had killed her family dog.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Clinton retweeted a 2021 post in which it was stated that people should not vote for anyone that they would not trust with their dog.
Noem has recently arisen in many conversations regarding former President Donald Trump’s possible running mate. However, following The Guardian’s report regarding her book in which she detailed how she had killed her 14-month-old dog “Cricket,” Noem has found herself under fire.
In the book, she states that she had shot the dog in a gravel ditch on her property following an unsuccessful hunting trip. As she stated in the book she had “hated” the dog, who she claimed was also responsible for attacking her neighbor’s chickens. She had also claimed that the dog had attempted to bite her.
In the book, she does not only go into detail about killing her dog, but she also states that she had proceeded to kill a male goat that would often chase her children.
Last week the Democratic National Committee (DNC) put out a statement dubbing itself a “Dogmocratic Party.” In that statement, they noted that nothing could have prepared them for the disturbing passage from Noem’s book.
Noem has justified sharing the story in a post on X arguing that it showed authenticity and that she was unwilling to shy away from challenges.
