(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Taking to X, Republican Senator Tim Scott (South Carolina) aired his grievances about the hosts of ABC’s “The View,” stating they were “attacking” him since he was the GOP’s sole Black senator.

In a video he posted to X, Scott claimed he is “never surprised” when the hosts of “The View” resume their attacks on him because he is “the only Black Republican in the Senate.”

Instead, Scott emphasized that the women on the talk show had repeatedly helped defeat Black Republicans running for Senate and that they were scared of the Black GOP base.

Scott was responding to statements from Sunny Hostin, co-host of “The View,” who claimed that if former President Donald Trump chose Scott to be his running mate, the South Carolina Republican wouldn’t attract any Black voters in November’s Presidential election.

Hostin’s comments come as rumors are circulating that Scott, who exited the GOP Presidential race in November and later endorsed Trump, could be one of the former President’s potential running mates.

In Friday’s episode of the talk show, Hostin argued that anyone who thought Scott would generate “a bunch” of support from “Black men” they were mistaken since Scott was the lone Black GOP Senator, adding that it was that way “for a reason.” Hostin was making her statements as the panel discussed who could help Trump get the most voters.

However, when Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former aide in the Trump administration and current co-host of The View, pointed out that Democrats only had a handful more Black Senators than Republicans, Hostin claimed Democrats had many Black lawmakers in elected offices throughout the country.
