(TruthAndLiberty.com) – The campaign of President Joe Biden intends to host next month a large fundraiser in Los Angeles that will include a star-studded lineup.
The campaign event is going to be part of Biden’s fundraising efforts and it will include Hollywood actors Julia Roberts and George Clooney, as well as former President Barack Obama, who had once been Biden’s boss. At the same time the campaign of former President Donald Trump and the Republican party are attempting to breach the gap as their fundraising efforts have left them significantly behind the Democratic party and President Biden in terms of cash reserves.
The event is scheduled to take place in mid-June and it is going to include a contest with Roberts and Clooney running a social media campaign where they will be trying to engage with grassroots donors, surrogates, and other top celebrities. The renowned film stars are also going to be included in a number of campaign text messages and emails as the Biden campaign tries to bring in more contributions.
The fundraiser is going to be promoted in the same way that the event in late March in New York City, which included former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama was promoted. That event alone had managed to bring in $26 billion. Campaign aides have pointed out that this is the largest amount to have ever been brought by a single Democratic fundraising event. The president will hold an additional event with the Clintons in the summer.
