(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Sept. 6, a teenager in Florida attempted to rob a Wells Fargo bank wearing a pink shower cap and mask. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has identified the suspect to have been a Black male, 17, who had tried to rob the Wells Fargo bank located on West Waters Avenue in Tampa, Florida.

The suspect allegedly approached the bank teller with a note demanding money. In the note, he threatened that he had a firearm in his possession. The images released from the incident show that the suspect had been wearing a pink dress, white sneakers, black jeans, sunglasses, a mask, and a pink shower cap.

After the incident, he fled on foot and was located by authorities several days later on Sept. 13, near a public storage unit. The authorities took him into custody after locating him east of the bank, he was from there taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center and is going to be facing charges of felony robbery while masked.

Sheriff Chad Chronister in his message commended the officers and deputies for their actions and helped bring the attempted bank robber in custody swiftly. He further added that this incident acts as another reminder about how youth can often go down the wrong paths, and how it is “our duty” to help them choose better. He noted that the office’s “commitment to justice and community remains unfaltering” even in cases where they are dealing with minors who have been misguided.
