(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Wednesday during an interview on CNN, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) had called the new indictment against former President Donald Trump “heartbreaking.”

As she said during her appearance on “The Lead With Jake Tapper” it was “heartbreaking” to have a U.S. President who had so many charges filed against him. She then proceeded to praise the House Select Committee that had investigated the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack arguing that the charges that Special Counsel Jack Smith had filed against Trump were similar to those they had recommended.

She proceeded to say that she was “proud of them” over this similarity and she commends them for their work.

On Tuesday Trump was indicted on four charges which included conspiracy against rights, conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding, obstruction of an attempt to obstruct an official proceeding, and conspiracy to defraud the United States. These are the worst charges that former President Donald Trump has had to face to date.

Trump was indicted two more times in the past year. In his first indictment in New York, he is facing charges of falsifying business records in connection to a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels prior to the 2016 presidential election. He was also federally indicted in connection to his alleged mishandling of classified documents after leaving the White House in 2021. A superseding indictment was recently filed in this case. Trump has pleaded not guilty to all charges in both cases and has claimed that he has committed no wrongdoings.
