(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Tuesday, during the civil court trial against former President Donald Trump, the topic of the penthouse belonging to his daughter Ivanka Trump came up once.

Letitia James, the New York Attorney General has filed a $250 million lawsuit accusing Trump and other Trump Organization top executives of having inflated and deflated the value of his assets over the years in order to gain access to better loans, premiums, and business deals by defrauding insurers, banks and others.

Last month, Judge Arthur Engoron in a pretrial decision resolved the top claim in the suit stating that Trump had defrauded others by inflating the value of his assets. The trial is now dealing with a number of the other concerns in the lawsuit which include falsifying business records, insurance fraud, and conspiracy claims. Trump who is currently the frontrunner in the 2024 GOP presidential race has denied all wrongdoing.

On Tuesday Trump was in court with Donna Kidder, the accountant of the Trump company who testified that she had been instructed to make favorable assumptions on the internal financial spreadsheets of the company. She spoke about the value of the Trump Park Avenue penthouse that had been rented out by Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner in 2011. As she pointed out, Ivanka Trump had been told that she could buy the penthouse for $8.5 million.

Kidder further noted that in a 2014 email, Ivanka Trump had been given the option to buy a different unit for a bit over $14 million after surrendering the option to purchase one of the penthouses. This was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter by The Messenger reporter Adam Klasfeld.
