(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Vice President Kamala Harris recently posted a photo of herself and her husband, Dough Emhoff, preparing Thanksgiving dinner which resulted in a lot of questions from conservatives who pointed out that her kitchen has a gas stove. This observation was made as the Biden administration was allegedly planning on banning them according to reports from earlier in the year.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Harris shared the photo with her husband along with a message wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving.

Following Thursday’s post, many people, including Laura Loomer, an America First activist, and Mike Collins a Georgia GOP Congressman, pointed out that the vice president’s kitchen had a gas stove. Libs of TikTok used this photo and shared the phrase “rules for thee but not for me” as criticism.

In January there had been many claims emerged regarding the Biden administration’s intention to ban gas stoves. It is currently estimated that around 40 million American households have gas stoves in their houses. The right-wing has been using these claims as evidence that the federal government intended to limit the freedom of Americans through the introduction of climate change policies.

The claims had emerged following the interview of U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) commissioner Richard Trumka Jr., who had told Bloomberg that a potential ban was on the table as there were emerging concerns about how gas stoves were affecting people’s health. At the time he had argued that any products that could not be made safe would need to be banned.
