(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Former President Donald Trump took to his social media platform on Wednesday to state that there was no way in which he would have a fair trial in Washington, D.C. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday in connection to his latest federal indictment relating to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

Instead, Trump pushed for the idea of the case being moved to West Virginia, where he is much more likely to have an impartial trial as the state is not biased. In his post, he further stated that in Washington, D.C. he felt the deck was stacked against him and that a strong majority of people there were anti-Trump. He added that this was why he was continuing to call for a “Federal TAKEOVER” so that the Capital’s greatness could be restored.

Finally, Trump reiterated his frequent point about this case only being created as an attempt by the Democrats to interfere with his 2024 campaign.

John Laura, Trump’s attorney also floated the idea that the case should be brought to West Virginia. He said that Trump’s legal team was searching for an area where the jury pool will be more diverse and balanced in order to ensure a fair trial.

He added that currently there is a lot of political division within the country and that the indictment against Trump was also divisive. This was why they wanted to get a jury that would act more balanced from a state like West Virginia which is more equally divided.

President Biden won D.C. with over 92 percent of the votes in 2020, while Trump took West Virginia with 68 percent of the votes.
