(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Last week, Michael Burham, who is a murder suspect, managed to escape from a Pennsylvania prison and has been on the run ever since. Burham was assisted in his escape by a South Carolina man.

Burham who is a murder and kidnapping suspect, as well as an Army Reserve veteran has been on the run with police across different states working for nine days to bring him back to custody. His escape took place almost two weeks after Burham allegedly murdered a woman in New York.

Originally the man had been captured over the weekend following a second manhunt by a task force that also had U.S. Marshals and Border Patrol assisting in the manhunt. This was after Burham had climbed out of the Warren County Jail gym in Pennsylvania. In the first search, authorities had encouraged local residents to also be on the lookout after a note from Burham which stated that he had no regrets about what he had done was found.

Anthony Philips, his girlfriend and their dog had helped in Burham’s initial capture after they had seen him on May 23. Phillips, who had a handgun on him at the time, stated that whenever one sees something that is not ordinary they need to report it.

He also encouraged people to always check and walk around the property to determine whether anything was out of place. Their dog, a Jack Russell terrier, Sadie, had also been important in this incident as she had been growling which led to her owners realizing that something was not right.
