(TruthAndLiberty.com) – According to a recent report by the Daily Caller, former South Carolina Governor and 2024 Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is going to sign a pledge about protecting parental rights in education and healthcare.
On Wednesday, Haley is set to appear with Tiffany Justice, the co-founder of Moms for Liberty during an event in Manchester, New Hampshire. At the event, Haley is going to be signing the “Parent Pledge” by the Moms for Liberty.
The pledge has also been signed by conservative radio host Larry Elder, Michigan businessman Perry Johnson, and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, according to the organization’s website. Haley, who is the only woman in the Republican primary race, and the mother of two, had spoken in June at the Moms for Liberty Joyful Warriors Summit which took place in Philadelphia.
Haley, in a statement to the Daily Caller News Foundation (DCNF), noted that so far parents have heard from local school boards and the federal government that their opinions did not matter. She added that if she wins the White House, that would not be the case during her administration. She proceeded to note that she was “proud to be a mom of liberty” and signed the pledge, as she believes that empowering parents is one of the best protections that can be afforded to our nation’s children.
The New Hampshire Journal in a report pointed out that the signing will take place in an area where a mother is currently suing the school board for not informing parents about their children’s classroom behavior when it comes to gender and sex. The Manchester school district has maintained that they are not obligated to inform parents about their child’s gender presentation.
