(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Monday, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley blasted President Biden for having lectured her on her remarks about the Civil War.
Earlier that day Biden had given a speech at Mother Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston where he stated that for those who do not seem to know, he wanted to make it clear that Slavery is what had caused the Civil War.
Haley, during a Fox News town hall in Iowa, argued that Biden had made the comment in an attempt to show her up while delivering an “offensive” political speech. She added that she did not need someone who had previously collaborated with segregationists and had spent his career making racist comments to lecture her, or anyone in her state of South Carolina on anything relating to the Civil War, slavery, and racism.
During his 2020 presidential cycle, Biden had been widely criticized for having spoken positively about two segregationist senators that he had worked with in the Senate. In the 1970s Biden had also spoken up against school busing during racial integration.
Haley has received a lot of criticism for some of her recent remarks about the Civil War after she answered a question about it and she failed to include slavery in her answer. Haley argued later on that slavery had been the cause of the Civil War.
