(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Tuesday President Biden almost fell down the steps of Air Force One but managed to catch himself before tumbling down.
Only hours before Biden’s arrival in Michigan, where the incident took place, it had become known that Biden’s reelection campaign team was taking steps to ensure that the President would not take another public tumble or slip during his presidential campaign season. However, when the President landed at Detroit Metro Airport and started going down the steps he temporarily slipped on the eighth step before catching and balancing himself. Earlier this year, Biden was diagnosed by the White House physician with “significant spinal arthritis.” Since the diagnosis, there have been several incidents where Biden has slipped or stumbled which has led to multiple people questioning whether his age makes him ill-equipped to serve in the White House.
Specialist Drew Contreras is also handling Biden’s physical therapy and the two have been working on exercises that have bettered Biden’s balance.
In June, Biden took a nasty fall at the Air Force Academy which resulted in Biden switching to wearing sneakers. His team has also replaced the stairs to board Air Force One with shorter stairs in order to eliminate the chances of him falling again.
Due to the extreme public scrutiny faced by Biden regarding his age, another public fall could have a detrimental effect on the President who is already facing criticisms regarding his age. According to a recent Associated Press poll, 77 percent of voters have stated that Biden was too old to serve a second term in the White House. Specifically, that position was held by 69 percent of Democrats and 89 percent of Republicans.
