(TruthAndLiberty.com) – In a recent episode of “Pod Save America” released on Friday, Liz Cheney, the former congresswoman known for her critical stance against Donald J. Trump, encouraged Nikki Haley to persist in the Republican primary race at least until Super Tuesday. Cheney views Trump’s bid for the presidency as a grave risk to the country and applauds Haley for her courage in contending against him despite facing steep challenges.

Cheney highlighted the importance of continuously opposing Trump and praised Haley’s current efforts in the race. While Cheney has yet to endorse any candidate and has hinted at the possibility of her own third-party candidacy, she remains open to the idea of a third-party challenge, emphasizing her primary goal of defeating Trump.

During her conversation with Jon Favreau, the podcast host and former Obama speechwriter, Cheney expressed her dissatisfaction with the Republican National Committee Chair, Ronna McDaniel, for prematurely rallying the party behind Trump following his New Hampshire primary win, criticizing it as highly inappropriate.

Cheney also criticized certain Republicans, like Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina, who recently endorsed Trump, and Representative Elise Stefanik of New York, whom Cheney disparagingly referred to as a “crackpot”. She lamented the shift in these figures from what she regarded as their formerly principled and honorable stances to a blind allegiance to Trump.

Additionally, Cheney expressed her disappointment with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for his willingness to abandon bipartisan immigration reform efforts following Trump’s directive to oppose the legislation, labeling McConnell’s actions as “disgusting”. Cheney firmly believes that those enabling Trump will be judged severely by history for their complicity in his actions.
