(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Following the recent debate between Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-Calif.), DeSantis proceeded to attack the California Governor during a recent campaign event in Prosperity, S.C.
DeSantis stated regarding his debate that he had never before taken the stage with someone “who told so many bold-face lies.” He argued that the situation was “unbelievable.”
DeSantis proceeded to slam Newsom over his claims regarding taxation and the way that he tried to inflate the successes of the Biden administration agenda. As he pointed out, Newsom had claimed that Biden deserved to get an “A+” for his performance in office. Newsom had also claimed that Biden has not had any cognitive decline and that he was performing at his best.
These comments came only one day after the debate between the two governors which was hosted by Fox News’ Sean Hannity. The two also proceeded to debate a number of issues, including immigration, abortion, LGBTQ rights, and education. Newsom also referred to the flights organized by DeSantis which transported migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, Mass., and California as “disqualifying.” As he pointed out, DeSantis’ immigration policy included lying to migrants about housing and work, and transporting them to California and Martha’s Vineyard. He added that DeSantis was using humans as pawns and that this was “disqualifying.”
DeSantis also slammed Newsom over his handling of the Special Olympics last year arguing that he was a “liberal bully” and added that he had wanted to marginalize the athletes.
