(TruthAndLiberty.com) – In an interview on Sunday, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) argued that the case that had been brought forward against Hunter Biden in California was “legally justified.” He then pointed out that he was certain that 2024 voters would be able to tell that there is a difference between Hunter Biden and his father, Joe Biden.

Murphy stated regarding the prosecution, that Hunter Biden was a “very troubled individual” who had done things that deemed him worthy of being prosecuted. This is why he looked forward to seeing the continuation of the case.

Murphy also pointed out that the American people understood that Hunter Biden was not the person on the 2024 presidential ballot, and that instead on the ballot was President Joe Biden who had helped the nation go through an “unprecedented” recovery in its economy. He added that this was the thing that mattered the most to Americans.

This past week Hunter Biden was indicted for the second time following an investigation from special counsel David Weiss into his business dealings and taxes. As a result of the suit, Hunter Biden is facing three felony tax charges that are connected to tax evasion, and false tax returns, and another six misdemeanor charges that are connected to his failure to pay the required taxes from 2016 to 2019.

Weiss has alleged that during that time Hunter Biden ended up withdrawing millions from his business which he spent on his lavish lifestyle. However, as he points out the one thing that Biden had failed to do during all of that time was pay his taxes.
