(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Tuesday, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) stated that he would be deploying up to 200 state National Guard members and 22 state highway patrol troopers to the Texas border in assistance to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) who requested assistance.

Parson claimed that his decision occurred after a trip to the southern border two months ago when he had witnessed “the crisis.” He proceeded to place the blame on President Biden for the U.S. border being “wide open.”

On Tuesday during a press conference, Parson argued that the southern border crisis was what led to the fentanyl crisis and that many families and communities were getting destroyed by Missouri adults and children dying from fentanyl. He added that all of this is the result of the reckless Biden administration policies that had allowed the border to be wide open. He added that currently all of the states were border states.

The governor proceeded to call for Biden and other government officials to take action in order to deal with the influx of migrants and drugs into the country. As he noted they had waited for a long time and Missouri was now going to be deploying the state’s resources to help secure the U.S.-Mexico border.

Parson is not the only GOP governor to have announced recently that they would be using their state’s emergency funds in order to help the Texas governor in his attempts to bring down the number of migrant encounters.

Abbott had previously gotten the Texas National Guard to install razor-wire barriers to stop migration, however, the Supreme Court determined that the federal administration had the authority to have the barriers removed.
