(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Saturday, former President Donald Trump during a rally in Conway, South Carolina slammed GOP primary rival Nikki Haley in her home state, even asking “Where’s her husband?”

In his speech which was aired live on Newsmax and the streaming platform Newsmax2, Trump questioned where Haley’s husband was. Currently, her husband is in the U.S. National Guard in Africa voluntarily serving a year-long deployment. Trump proceeded in his comments to say that he was “away” and that he was “gone.”

Haley took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to use Trump’s comments against him, attacking him for the insensitivity he has frequently shown towards service members. Haley wrote about her husband that he was deployed serving the U.S. and that this was something that Trump did not know anything about. She proceeded to point out how Trump continually disrespects military families for their families and that he had “no business being commander in chief.”

This is not the first time that Trump has been attacked over his comments towards military service members. President Joe Biden recently blasted Trump for having referred to fallen World War II service members as “suckers.” Trump has previously denied these claims.

Trump focused his attack against Haley on her alleged lack of loyalty as she was running in the primary election against him, despite performing badly in the polls. He has also repeatedly quoted Haley arguing that she would never run against him and her previous comments about him being the “greatest president” in her lifetime.

Haley had served as the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations during the first Trump administration.
