(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie stated on Sunday that if former President Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination in 2024, then that would mean that President Biden would get to serve another four-year term in the White House after winning the 2024 general election.

In an interview on ABC’s “This Week,”  Christie argued that Trump being the nominee means another term for Biden. He added that this is something that GOP primary voters would need to consider, as another Biden term could potentially mean Supreme Court packing. He added that the filibuster could also potentially be eliminated.

In 2021, President Biden formed a commission that is tasked with considering potential Supreme Court reforms, including changes to the court’s size. Biden has also suggested that the filibuster in the Senate should be eliminated. This would allow the Democrats who don’t currently have the 60 votes required to pass legislation on voting rights and abortion.

Christie has argued that the Republican primary voters needed to choose a party nominee who has a proven track record of beating Democratic incumbents and that he is the only Republican candidate to have done that. He proceeded to claim that if he became the GOP nominee he would beat President Biden.

Christie argued that he found it “amazing” that the majority of Republican candidates stated during Wednesday’s primary debate that if Trump became the party’s nominee they would support him, even if he ended up being criminally convicted. Out of the eight candidates on the debate stage only two, Christie and Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, argued that they would not support Trump’s nomination if he is convicted.
