(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday, actor Mark Hamill made a surprise visit to the briefing room in the White House during which he stated that the force is with President Joe Biden.
Hamill, who is known for his portrayal of Luke Skywalker, opened up his remarks by asking reporters how many of them had him leading a press briefing on their bingo cards. He continued by noting that he just got to meet the president who had just given him the aviator glasses that he was wearing.
When asked about his meeting with Biden at the Oval Office, Hamill revealed that Biden had told him that he could call him by his first name. Hamill had then joked if he could call the President Joe-B-Wan Kenobi, making a play for the name of the President and the name of one of the Jedi masters in the Star Wars universe.
Hamill also took the moment in his remarks to place Biden’s legislative accomplishment. He added that he once again wanted to express how grateful he was and argued that this showed just how influential and positive one person could be in their lives.
Hamill, 72, is a big critic of former President Donald Trump. This is not the first time that the actor has been invited to the White House, as he pointed out he had previously come to the White House during the Carter and Obama administrations. However, as he pointed out this was the first time he had been invited to the Oval Office, which made this visit even more special.
