(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Many of former President Donald Trump’s top allies in Congress have alleged that Trump’s indictment on Thursday night is an attempt at diverting the attention from the FBI document that allegedly details a criminal bribery scheme including then-Vice President Biden.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., took to Twitter to state that on the same day that the House Oversight Committee was given access to the FBI document that detailed how Biden and his son Hunter Biden each received $5 million from a foreign national in exchange for influence over policy decisions during the Obama administration. She added that she did not believe this to be accidental.
House GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik’s accusations on the other hand were mainly focused on the Democrat’s supposed attempts to interfere with the 2024 presidential election. She also admitted that there was a likely relation between the indictment and the FBI having to turn over to Congress the document that includes information about the bribery scheme. She proceeded to accuse President Biden of having weaponized the Justice Department against Donald Trump.”
Trump was the one to announce in a Truth Social post that he was being indicted in connection to this case. As he had stated he was now scheduled to appear before the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday in connection to this indictment.
This is not the only indictment that Trump has faced this year. A few months ago he was also indicted in a case in New York in connection to a probe led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
