(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday during a campaign event former President Donald Trump referred to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack and appeared to confuse Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Haley has since used the comments made by Trump to question whether Trump was mentally fit to run for the White House.

Trump during his comments about the Capitol attack had repeatedly said Haley’s name, claiming that she was in charge of security and that he had offered her 10,000 people to help secure the Capitol but that she had refused them.

However, Haley argued during a New Hampshire rally that not only was she not in charge of the Capitol security at the time, she was also not even serving in office at the time. She added that people are claiming that Trump had gotten confused and that he was referring to something else. However, as she pointed out, without wanting to say “anything derogatory” when dealing with the pressure of the presidency they did not have someone in office who they would question whether or not they were fit mentally to be there.

Several Republicans, including Trump, have repeatedly attacked President Joe Biden, over his age and mental acuity. However, Haley, who turned 52 on Saturday has often pointed out that Trump is also nearing his 80s, currently 77, and with her latest comments questioned the mental fitness of the former President.

Haley has previously argued that all political candidates over the age of 75 should be required to complete a mental competency test.
