(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Sunday, GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley refused to say whether or not she would be backing former President Donald Trump if he ended up being the Republican nominee in the 2024 election.

In the first 2024 Republican primary debate the majority of candidates, including Haley, had raised their hands when asked whether or not they would back Trump should he become the party’s nominee. In that original question, they had also been asked whether or not they would support him even if convicted, which most candidates had agreed to. In order to participate in the GOP primary debates candidates were required to sign a pledge that they would support whoever ended up being the party’s nominee.

However, since that time Haley has been left as the only major candidate still standing in the race against the former President, which has led to her increasing her attacks against Trump.

On Sunday, during an interview with ABC News’s Jonathan Karl, Haley was asked whether or not she still stood by her original pledge despite her recent criticism of the former President and his comments regarding NATO. Recently, Haley has gone as far as to refer to Trump as “unfit” for office and even said that he was “unhinged.”

In response to the question, Haley argued that there was a reason she was still running in the presidential election against Trump and it was because she did not believe he was the right person for the White House. She added that currently, she is not thinking about who she would support and that the only thing she is actually thinking about is winning the race.
