(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Monday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) gave a speech in Boone in which she once again expressed her support for former President Donald Trump, praising him and calling for voters in Iowa to support him in the caucus so that he would be reelected in 2024.
Greene during her speech spoke up about the importance of border security and argued that she supported Trump’s plan for “mass deportations” if he wins back the White House. She added that Trump would be able to enforce border security and that she could not wait to see him implement such policies.
In his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump has placed a lot of focus on the tough immigration policies that he is planning on following and has pledged that if reelected he would lead the biggest deportation campaign in U.S. history. He has also been using authoritarian rhetoric when referring to the immigration issue.
Previously Trump had received backlash for claiming that migrants were “poisoning the blood” of the United States, a remark which caused many to compare the comment to Nazi rhetoric.
Trump has also pledged that if reelected he would reintroduce and expand the travel ban that had targeted Muslim countries and that many civil rights groups have attacked for being xenophobic and racist. He has also stated that he would put an end to birthright citizenship.
Greene is one of the former president’s biggest supporters in Congress, and during her speech on Monday, she referred to migrants as “terrorists” and even drew comparisons between them and Hamas militants.
