(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Michelle Obama in a recent interview on the “On Purpose” podcast with host Jay Shetty shared that she was “terrified” over what might end up happening in the 2024 presidential election.

The podcast episode was released on Monday and in it, Obama shared how important the country’s leaders were. As she shared who they selected and who spoke for the American people is very important and can affect people in ways that are often taken for granted. Obama shared her fears after being asked what were some of the fears that kept her up at night.

The 59-year-old former First Lady noted that it scared her that there were people who questioned whether the government did anything and she argued that the “government” does “everything for us.” She added that democracy should not be taken for granted and she found it worrisome that it was often taken for granted.

She added that these were some of the things that kept her up at night, but that she was also worried about the wars in “too many regions” in the world, education, artificial intelligence, voter engagement, and whether people were “too stuck” to their phones.

Shetty also asked Obama about one of her famous phrases from the 2016 Democratic National Convention where she had said “When they go low, we go high,” and its recent evolution.

In response, Obama shared that she had never liked unfairness and that “Injustice, ego, greed, racism, ignorance” all of these things were offensive.
