(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) in a recent interview on CBS Sunday Morning claimed that former President Donald Trump had a collaborator in his attempts to remain in power after the 2020 election and that Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) was “a collaborator.”

Cheney argued that Johnson’s story was the “story of a collaborator.” Previously, Cheney had called Johnson “dangerous” and claimed that he knew that the actions he had taken in the 2020 election had been wrong.

Following the 2020 election, Johnson led an amicus brief in support of the lawsuit in Texas that was attempting to overturn the presidential election results in the state. Johnson had also objected to the election results in Pennsylvania and Arizona following the Capitol attack on Jan. 6, 2021.

On Oct. 25, Johnson was voted as the next Speaker of the House following several weeks of the office being empty after Rep. Kevin McCarthy was ousted from the position.

.Cheney has argued that Johnson was fully aware of what he was doing to support Trump and try to overthrow the presidential election. During the interview, Cheney claimed that Johnson was willing to do anything necessary to please the former President which made him “dangerous.”

CBS reporter John Dickerson then asked Cheney whether Johnson had collaborated to overturn the 2020 election. In response, Cheney stated that was “absolutely” the case.

Cheney, who is a big critic of the former President, lost the primary in her reelection race in August 2022. She has previously slammed the Republican party over their support of the former President.
