Olivia Perez-Cubas, a spokesperson for Haley’s campaign, pointed out that a significant portion of both Republican and general American voters are hesitant about the prospect of a Biden-Trump rematch in the 2024 presidential election, as per numerous polls. Perez-Cubas criticized the lack of “comic relief” in this political scenario, instead foreseeing a continuation of turmoil and a troubling sense of familiarity for the electorate.
The campaign plans to disseminate its message through online videos, digital advertisements, and email communications, drawing parallels between Biden and Trump to underscore their similarities. The content series will include episodes such as “Debate Dodgers,” highlighting both candidates’ absence from primary debates, and “Stumbling Seniors,” which will discuss the apparent mental lapses and exhaustion evident in both individuals. Another episode will attribute the record-breaking inflation experienced in 2022 to their fiscal policies, likening their spending habits to those of “drunken sailors.”
Throughout her campaign, Haley has frequently questioned Biden’s mental fitness for office, given he will be 82 years old on Election Day. She has also begun to question 77-year-old Trump’s cognitive abilities, especially following a recent incident where he seemed to confuse her with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Haley, who previously served as the United States Ambassador to the United Nations under Trump, advocates for mental competency tests for candidates aged 75 and older and calls for fresh leadership within the Republican Party and the nation as a whole.
