(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Monday on Presidents Day, the Democratic National Committee posted a picture with all the living presidents belonging to their party, but failing to include 99-year-old Jimmy Carter.
Radio Host Jason Rantz was quick to take to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out that they were celebrating all living Democrat presidents, including the one forgotten by his own party Jimmy Carter.
In the RNC’s post which has now been deleted, there was a picture of former President Bill Clinton, former President Barack Obama, and President Joe Biden. The caption read “Happy Presidents Day.” However, there was one notable absence in the post, as former President Carter who has been in hospice care for over a year was not included in the post.
The 39th president first entered hospice care on Feb. 18, 2023. Carter, who turned 99 in October, is the longest-living president in the United States and the Carter Center has pointed out that he would be spending his “Remaining time” in hospice care in his home in Georgia rather than continuing to have cancer treatments. It further added that Carter had the complete support of both his family and his medical team.
In a statement, the Carter family has requested privacy during his time and has expressed gratitude for the concerns of many of Carter’s admirers.
On Saturday Carter’s family revealed to USA Today in a statement regarding the 99-year-old that the Carter family was grateful for the love expressed by people and for the respect to their privacy.
