(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Following former U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley’s exit from the 2024 presidential race, there are a number of her supporters who are now considering voting for President Joe Biden rather than supporting former President Donald Trump in his attempt to win back the White House.
While Haley never managed to get a big enough base of support that would allow her to pose a serious threat to Trump’s attempt to win back the White House, the match between Biden and Trump appears to be a tight one. This could potentially mean that voters for Haley, as well as many of her donors, could end up boosting Biden’s efforts while hurting the general election chances of former President Trump. This is particularly true in battleground states where many suburban voters are not sold on the idea that Trump should return to the White House.
Thus far, interviews with Haley’s supporters have shown that it is likely that her supporters could vote in different directions with some supporting Biden, other Trump, and others looking at possible third-party options. However, many people appear to not be interested in making any choice about the presidential race yet.
Haley has not made any public statement following her exit from the race and has urged Trump to try and win the support of all Republicans. However, she has not yet given Trump her endorsement and many people have argued that she has no intention of endorsing Trump in the race.
Longtime Republican Donor Eric Tanenblatt has pointed out that Haley has argued that it was up to Trump to win the support of those who had voted for her.
