President Biden reportedly does not trust the Secret Service and does not believe some of the details that relate to the biting incident with his dog major according to Chris Whipple’s “The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House.”

Whipple argues that the reason why Biden has issues with trusting some of the agents is that they are avid supporters of former President Trump. According to a copy of the book obtained by the Hill, Whipple wrote that the reason for Biden’s discomfort is because some in his Secret Service security detail are “MAGA sympathizers”.

Biden’s current security detail is much larger than the security detail he had during his time as vice President. Whipple also added that the Secret service has many agents who are “white ex-cops from the South who tend to be deeply conservative.”

Following the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, Trump tried to politicize the Secret Service.

Whipple noted that when “Surrounded by a new phalanx of strangers, Biden couldn’t help but wonder, Do these people really want me here?”

It is also widely known that the Secret Service had erased most messages from Jan. 6 and that Biden had thought the move had made the “Secret Service had looked both incompetent and politicized.”

Other issues emerged in March 2021, after reportedly Major, the president’s German shepherd rescue dog, had allegedly bitten a Secret Service agent. However, Biden has said that he did not believe all of the details in the report of the incident, however, he did not dispute that the bite itself had taken place.
