(TruthAndLiberty.com) – President Biden has received a lot of backlash following his recent interview where he claimed that the United States had been built by “undocumented” immigrants.

This statement had come after Biden’s apology for having used the term “illegal” about Venezuelan immigrant Jose Ibarra who is the main suspect in the murder of Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student from Augusta University.

The president faced a lot of backlash online for his claim that illegal immigrants had “built” the country, which is something that he had previously claimed about the United States middle class.

Journalist Jeff Gremillion took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to note that during his State of the Union address, Biden had claimed that the middle class and unions had been the ones to build the city. However, now he had claimed that it was “undocumented” immigrants. He proceeded to ask who Biden would refer to as having built the country when he is speaking to an African-American audience.

While sitting with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart on Saturday for a long interview, Biden had argued that he should not have referred to 26-year-old Ibarra, who had entered the country illegally through the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas. Despite this, she had been released for parole into the country before his recent charges for having murdered Riley.

Biden told Capehart that he needed to have used “undocumented” rather than having used the term “illegal.” This was about the State of the Union address when Biden had referred to Ibarra when talking about the murder case.
