(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Last week, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) argued during a podcast that former President Donald Trump “affirms” men’s insecurities.

On Jan. 16 during her appearance on the “I’ve Had It” podcast Ocasio-Cortez told hosts Angie “Pumps” Sullivan and Jennifer Welch her views on what happened when people started to identify too much with a politician. As she argued Trump was the embodiment of what occurs when a politician starts to represent a person’s dreams and homes. She added that he affirmed the idea of masculinity and wealth that insecure people have in their heads.

At that point, Welch interjected pointing out that it also included the idea of “Internalized misogyny.”

Ocasio-Cortez agreed and noted that it also included the idea of race that many insecure White people had and that this was what occurred when people were looking for everything to come from electoral politics. She added that this was not something that President Joe Biden did which was a good thing as it was far more honest.

She further pointed out that she and Biden disagreed on several issues, including the case in Gaza, and argued that she was intending to look at what would be good for the United States past the 2024 presidential election.

The New York representative added that she did not “associate” herself with what was occurring in Gaza but that they needed to acknowledge that the fascist movement in the United States should not be allowed to continue growing. She added that she was hopeful that politics could start to exist outside electoral politics.
