(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Wednesday during a speech celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Inflation Reduction Act, Biden called for anyone to come and tell him of a single objective that the U.S. has ever failed to do historically.
In the speech from the White House’s East Room, Biden touted his administration’s accomplishments including what he considers one of his biggest successes which was the passing of the Inflation Reduction Act.
However, as he proceeded with his speech he pointed out that all his administration was ever hearing from the “other side of the aisle” is everything that is wrong with the country. He added that while they are claiming that the U.S. is failing, in reality, they were completely wrong and the country was winning not failing. He proceeded to argue that in America there is “no quit.”
During this section of his speech, his tone of voice changed completely going from a regular conversational tone to one that was significantly angrier. In fact, Biden shouted that he was challenging anyone to come up with an objective that they had set and failed to accomplish in their entire history. He added that it was never a good idea to bet against the U.S. and it continued to be a bad idea today.
However, despite Biden’s claims of success regarding the Inflation Reduction Act, the numbers tell a different story.
On Aug. 4, Vice President Kamala Harris tweeted that inflation had been in decline for 12 consecutive months. However, the Consumer Price Index released this month showed that in July inflation had risen 33.2 percent in July when compared to the previous year.
