(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Monday, New York Judge Arthur Engoron was slammed online following the emergence of footage from him smiling right before the start of former President Donald Trump’s civil fraud trial.
Conservatives were quick to take to social media to express their outrage over the photos showing Engoron smiling and posing for the cameras that were filming inside the courtroom prior to the proceedings starting.
Mike Davis, the founder and president of Article III Project called the incident “disgraceful” and slammed the judge for being a “partisan Democrat clown.”
Stephen Miller, an adviser of the former president, also stated that the clip was evidence of the U.S. “democracy disappearing right before our eyes,” while Price stated that this was evidence that the U.S. was turning into a “third world banana republic.”
Julie Kelly, an author, also wrote that there was a crisis in the country’s judicial system, while Tom Fitton the president of Judicial Watch slammed the trial for being a “show trial.”
Trump who appeared in court on Monday was defiant when arriving at the courtroom and during the recess. The former President has also slammed Engoron before arguing that this was a “rigged court” and that the case against him had been brought forward by a “radical-left attorney general.”
Trump also argued that Engoron was refusing to acknowledge that they had “won 80% of this case in the appellate division” and that for that reason he needed to be disbarred and removed from office. Trump even went as far as to say that some people would argue that Engoron needed to be criminally charged for attempting to interfere with the election.
