(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Former Georgia lieutenant Gov. Geoff Duncan (R) in a recent appearance on CNN claimed that former President Donald Trump had the “moral compass” of an “axe murder” and not a president.

Duncan has been one of Trump’s most vocal critics, especially following the former President’s unfounded claims that the presidential election results in his state had been rigged. Duncan, who often appears as a CNN contributor, pointed out on Monday that Republicans needed to see all of the warning signs that were present about the former President.

On Thursday Trump was arrested on 13 counts in a case relating to his attempts to overturn the presidential election results in the state. The former president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoings and has claimed that the cases against him constituted a “witch hunt” and that there was an attempt at “election interference.”

According to recent polls, Trump continues to have an impressive lead in the presidential race, and in one Republican primary poll, he is shown to have the support of 50 percent of Republican primary voters. In that same poll second place is taken by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who only has the support of 12 percent of GOP voters.

Duncan in his remarks pointed out that there were 91 indictments against Trump spread over four indictments. He added that the former President was a fake Republican and that he had contributed to the national debt by $8 trillion. Finally, he concluded that they needed to understand that he was not a nominee and that he had the “moral compass” of an “axe murderer” and not a U.S. president.
