(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Tuesday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) warned during a CNN interview that a possible second Trump administration could have “grave impacts” on democracy.

As she pointed out, if former President Donald Trump is reelected there would be no guarantee of when the next election with “integrity” would be held. She added that Trump had already tried to overturn the results of the presidential election and that the results of his actions had been clear on Jan. 6, 2021, when a riot was incited.

Ocasio-Cortez noted that she needed to be extremely “realistic” about what impact a possible Trump win would have. She argued that this was “not a game” and that it was necessary for them to safeguard the U.S. democracy.

She continued by noting the different legal battles that the former President is currently facing, which include four criminal indictments, two of which are focused on his attempts to overturn the presidential election, and a total of 91 felony counts.

These remarks were part of the Representative’s conversation with CNN anchor Jake Tapper where they also discussed special counsel Robert Hur’s report about President Joe Biden, which included several remarks about Biden’s age, mental acuity, and memory. The report was focused on the investigation relating to Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. In his conclusion, Hur argued that Biden had “wilfully” mishandled the documents but did not recommend any charges as Biden would come across to a jury as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
