(TruthandLiberty.com) – Second gentleman Doug Emhoff argued during a Nebraska campaign event that former President Donald Trump needed to be “condemned” for his “antisemitic” remarks about Democratic Jewish voters.

Bloomberg had reported that the second gentleman had claimed that Trump’s remarks were exhibiting “toxic” antisemitism and that anyone who made such comments, especially a former United States president needed to be condemned. These remarks came in response to an interview that Trump recently had with conservative radio host Sebastian Gorka, where he had claimed that the Democrats hated Israel and that any Jewish voters who supported the Democratic party needed to hate their religion.

Gorka had questioned why Democrats “hate” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, especially as the tensions regarding Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza have resulted in increased tension.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Emhoff argued that Trump had attempted to use stereotypes just as a means of demeaning Jewish Americans.

He then pointed out that in the past Trump had referred to the Neo Nazis at Charlottesville as “very fine people” and that in some of his earlier comments he had even praised dictator Adolf Hitler. He proceeded to argue that Trump’s rhetoric was antisemitic and that he needed to be ashamed of these remarks.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) last week called for a new election in Israel arguing that he had lost his way with the way he was handling the war against Hamas.

Emhoff is an important Jewish figure within the Biden administration and has often spoken about the rise of antisemitism especially following the Oct. 7 attack.
