(TruthAndLiberty.com) – In an interview, John Bolton, the former Trump administration National Security Advisor, argued that former President Donald Trump did not “have the brains” to be a dictator.

During the interview with Le Figaro, a conservative French outlet, Bolton was asked about Trump’s dictatorial tendencies and what his second term in office would potentially look like. In response, Bolton argued that Trump did not have the brains and that he was a property developer.

Trump is currently the last remaining GOP candidate in the presidential race. Earlier this month he had met with Viktor Orbán, the Hungarian Prime Minister. Over the past few years, Trump has been embracing many of the world’s autocratic leaders which is a departure from democratic norms.

In the past Trump has praised North Korean Leader Kim Jong-Un as well as Chinese President Xi Jinping, who he referred to as a “very good person.”

When addressing the concerns that he would try to be a dictator Trump has argued that he would only be one on “day one” if he was reelected.

Bolton argued however that if Trump wins a second term in office it will be extremely likely that he is going to leave NATO. The former President has been a longstanding critic of the agreement especially as many NATO members have failed to spend 2 percent of their GDP. He has also threatened that if he wins back the White House he would be pulling the United States out of the agreement. This was after claiming that he would tell Russian President Vladimir Putin to do as he wanted when it came to delinquent NATO members.
