(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday, Rep. Greg Steube, R-Fla., introduced impeachment articles against President Biden at a time when many Republicans in congressional committees are building cases that they hope will help remove Biden from the White House. Steube argued that it was time for them to take action, which is why his impeachment articles accuse Biden of having been a part of his son Hunter Biden’s alleged criminal business activities. The indictment also charges Biden with having worked to protect Hunter Biden from facing justice.
In a statement, Steube argued that it was time to impeach the President, and argued that his actions have undermined the Presidency and have been a betrayal to the American people as he has acted to shield his son from the “rule of law and justice.”
The filing includes four articles that accuse Biden of various misdemeanors and high crimes.
The first article accuses Biden of having accepted bribes as well as participating in honest services fraud and Hobbs Act extortion. These particular charges are connected to President Biden’s alleged involvement in the business dealings of his family. According to some reports his brother, James Biden, had been selling access to Joe Biden during his time as Vice President between 2009 and 2017. In exchange for access to then-Vice President Biden, he would receive both domestic and foreign business opportunities.
Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, released a memo which supposedly shows over $20 million in foreign payment paid to the Biden family. However, the Democrats have pointed out that the evidence does not show that President Biden had received or accepted any of these payments.
