(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Sunday, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), who is the chair of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee slammed Attorney General Merrick Garland arguing that he was just further harming the Justice Department’s credibility. He even argued that he was causing more damage than Anthony Fauci, the former White House medical adviser, had caused to “public health.”

In an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” Comer pointed out that Garland had done more damage to the department’s credibility. As he stated he does not believe there was anyone in the country who believed the things that Garland said when he claimed that the Department of Justice is not political, or that Republicans are not being handled differently than Democrats. He also pointed out that no one believed that they had not done anything improper when it came to the investigation into President Joe Biden.

House Republicans have frequently accused the Justice Department of having slow-walked the investigation into Hunter Biden’s, Joe Biden’s son, tax crimes. Last year two IRS whistleblowers had testified before the oversight committee claiming that Hunter had managed to avoid true justice.

Comer stated on Sunday that they previously had two IRS whistleblowers come forward with information, and that the Securities and Exchange Commission notes have shown that there have been a number of investigations into Biden over the past decade that have been handled by different agencies. In all of those instances, the investigations have been stopped after instruction was received by the Department of Justice.
