(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had refused to tell reporters that President Biden would not be commuting his son’s, Hunter Biden, sentencing. She added that she has not yet spoken to the President about the announcement of his son being found guilty in the criminal trial that was dealing with his illegal purchase and possession of a firearm in 2018 during a time when he was addicted to drugs.
A reporter had asked Jean-Pierre whether it was a possibility that the sentence of Hunter Biden might be commuted. As she argued this is something that might be on the table but she has not yet spoken with the President since the announcement of the verdict. She added that sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
Jean-Pierre pointed out that Joe Biden has been clear in that he loves and supports his son. She added that beyond that she does not have any information, however as she pointed out last week President Biden had stated during an ABC News interview that he would accept the trial verdict and would not be pardoning his son.
A different reporter proceeded to ask him if that meant that she was not ruling out the possibility of the sentence being commuted. In response, she said that what she was saying is that Biden had been asked specifically about a pardon in the trial and he had very clearly answered that question. She added that she did not have any further comments beyond that one as Biden had been clear about this.
