(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Friday, while talking with Fox News’ Sandra Smith, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claimed that he believes the allies of the United States were worried about the country’s adversaries, including Russia. He added that the adversaries were viewing President Joe Biden as being “weak” and that they were just waiting to exploit the situation.

During their discussion about national security, Pompeo argued that this week there had been three Russian warships that had reached Cuba’s waters and that at one point they were as close as 30 miles away from the Florida coast. As he stated this was very worrisome.

Pompeo pointed out that there had been other recent news, such as the arrests of many people who were believed to have ties to the Islamic State. He added that there had been an influx of migrants at the U.S. southern border and that Russia had found that there was no risk to them having their ships in Cuban waters.

Apart from the report about the three Russian warships, there were also reports that a Russian nuclear-powered submarine, which is not believed to have been carrying nuclear weapons, was also spotted. The ships are going to be taking part in naval and air drills that the United States has deemed as not a threat.

Pompeo claimed that Americans needed to be less worried about the Russian fleet sailing nearby, as it had been “an isolated incident.” Instead, he argued that the concerning thing was the Biden administration’s pattern of not protecting American interests.
