(TruthAndLiberty.com) – David Urban, a former campaign adviser of former President Donald Trump, argued that it is possible that former first lady Melania Trump might get a say in selecting who Trump’s running mate is going to be.

On Friday, during an interview, Urban had been asked by CNN’s Erin Burnett who he believes would hold the most influence over the former President’s running mate selection. While Burnett suggested that Fox News anchor Sean Hannity, conservative commentator Tucker Carlson, and businessman Rupert Murdoch have expressed their opinions, Urban argued that Melania Trump would hold the most sway.

As he remarked, he would like to know who Melania Trump likes for the position as she is Donald Trump’s closest advisor. Among the possible options for the VP positions are Gov. Doug Burgum (R-N.D.), as well as Sens. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) and Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).

Urban argued that the former first lady holds a lot of influence over Donald Trump and pointed out that she has previously been in the presence of these people. As such she can express educated opinions on who the best possible running mate for her husband will be. He pointed out that it will also be interesting to see who Melania Trump likes.

There are many people who are believed to be on Trump’s shortlist of possible vice presidential picks including Reps. Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) and Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), as well as Sens. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Tom Cotton (R-Ark.).

With the Republican National Convention being around a month away, there have been increased speculations about who Trump will select for the position.
