(TruthAndLiberty.com) – On Monday, former President Donald Trump sent out a campaign fundraising email in which he claimed that he was “tortured” when he took his Fulton County Jail in Georgia mugshot. In the past Trump has used the mug shot in order to raise funds for his 2024 campaign.

Trump’s fundraising email was meant to promote the sale of coffee mugs that featured the infamous Trump mug shot. Trump called for people to remember what had been done to him, he added that they had “tortured” him in the Fulton County Jail and had taken his mugshot. He noted that he was now putting that photo on mugs so that everyone could see it.

Last August, Trump surrendered to the jail following his Georgia criminal indictment. In that state criminal case, Trump is facing 13 counts that are connected to his attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. After arriving at the jail Trump’s fingerprint and mugshots were taken during the booking process, which took around 20 minutes. Trump is the first U.S. president to have his mug shot taken.

In May, Trump had released a similar email for coffee mugs featuring the shot. That email also included mentions of torture.

Trump has previously sold merchandise featuring the mugshot including mugs, T-shirts, bumper stickers, and koozies. Apart from the photo most of these products also include the phrase “Never surrender.”

The case in Georgia is only one of the four criminal cases that Trump was indicted in last year. The first of these cases to be tried was the New York hush money case where Trump was found to be guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records.
