(TruthandLiberty.com) – Former President Donald Trump slammed President Joe Biden over the way he has addressed inflation and even joked that the “economic disaster” had been because of the Snickers Bar size shrinking.
On Friday afternoon Trump made posts on his social media platform Truth Social in which he slammed Biden, the most likely Democratic nominee, for claiming that “corporate greed” is in part responsible for the increase in prices. He argued that it was unbelievable that Biden had taken to television last week to argue that Americans could actually “AFFORD his brutal inflation tax” and declare that families did have money that they could spend.
He proceeded to joke that Biden was claiming that his economic disaster was because companies had reduced the size of Snickers bars, and that Americans were not struggling economically because they were purchasing too many chocolate bars. However, Trump argued that they were struggling and it was because the U.S. president right now is the most corrupt and incompetent in history.
Trump’s comments were made in response to last week’s Biden interview with CNN, where he argued that he was working on checking corporations that were engaging in what he referred to as “shrinkflation.” Biden had said at the time that people did have money to spend, and that it was angering them that they needed to be spending more because of corporate greed. He added that this is what they needed to work on.
The Labor Department found that in April inflation slowed down to 3.4 percent.
