( – President Joe Biden appeared to joke with reporters that he was more physically capable of being in office than everyone else, and even claimed that he could take a reporter who had asked about his advanced age.

Last month Biden had an interview with Time magazine at the White House, which was published on Tuesday. In the interview Biden had been asked whether he was still capable of doing the job, as “an 85-year-old man” and it was pointed out that many Americans could consider him to be “too old” during his second term in office.

Biden had told the Time editor-in-chief Sam Jacobs and Washington bureau chief Massimo Calabresi that he could do the job better than anyone else they knew. He also joked that they should look at him and that he could even take them too.

Biden also disclosed that he never considered not running in the race because of his age, and even stated that those Americans who were worried about his age should just watch him. As he pointed out he wanted them to be able to name a president that has been able to achieve more than he had in the first three and a half years that he was in office.

Throughout his time in office Biden has had to repeatedly deal with questions relating to his mental acuity and age, however throughout his presidency he has avoided those questions. Following the start of his re-election campaign there was an escalation to his concerns, especially following the report by Special Counsel Robert Hur in Biden’s classified documents case.
