(TruthAndLiberty.com) – President Joe Biden’s campaign co-chair Mitch Landrieu claimed that the president was not at all concerned about his “mental fitness” despite voters having some concerns about it.
Landrieu spoke about the concerns that some people had about Biden’s mental fitness and his ability to serve for another term in the White House.
During an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Peter Alexander asked him why Biden did not choose to step aside and give way to another Democrat to run for office, someone who voters would not have as many concerns regarding their mental fitness.
In response, Landrieu argued that Biden does not have any concerns about his mental fitness and that neither did he as someone who has worked for hours alongside Biden. He added that this was just an idea that was being pushed by the other side and that Biden was moving the country from being in a downfall to being a world leader once again. He noted that he has created a new generation of leaders who are going to be able to lead the country into the future.
When asked about Biden’s 2020 comments that he would act as a “bridge” to a new generation of leaders and the things that have now changed as Biden is up for reelection, Landrieu claimed that nothing had changed. As he argued, Biden had never said he would just be a one-term president and that what he had said was that he would build a new generation of leaders.
