(TruthAndLiberty.com) – Trump has revealed he would be willing to debate Harris more than once.

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump revealed he’d be willing to debate Vice President Kamala Harris more than once but emphasized he would not be participating in any debate hosted by ABC News.

Speaking to reporters on a press call, Trump declared he would “absolutely” debate Harris, the Democratic party’s presumptive presidential nominee, at least once before Election Day. However, he took issue with ABC hosting the debate, despite ABC being the planned host for the scheduled September 10 debate between him and President Joe Biden before Biden dropped out of the race.

“I have at least equal say,” Trump told reporters before stating he doesn’t “like the idea of ABC.”

The former President also clarified he’d be “willing to do more than one debate.” However, he highlighted that he hadn’t “agreed to anything” with Harris about debating.

The former President noted that while he “agreed to debate [Biden],” he wants to “debate [Harris],” considering the pair share the “same policies,” and because “debating is important for a presidential race.”

Trump and Biden agreed to two debate dates: June 27 and September 10.

However, following Biden’s disastrous debate performance in June, Democrats started calling for him to withdraw, a call he answered on July 21 under mounting pressure, which reportedly included former President Barack Obama, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California), and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York).

Since Biden withdrew Sunday, Harris has acquired enough delegate support to become the Democratic Party’s nominee when the Democratic convention takes place between August 19 and 22.
