(TruthAndLiberty.com) – A new Bloomberg News/Morning Consult poll released on Wednesday has found that around six in 10 voters in swing states believe that President Biden is responsible for the increase in migration in the U.S. southern border.
According to the poll, 61 percent of voters have argued that Biden bears at least a part of the responsibility for the increase in migrant crossings. However, only 38 percent argue that some of the responsibility falls with the Congress GOP. Finally, around 30 percent have also claimed that part of the responsibility was the fault of former President Donald Trump.
In the swing states of Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, voters also claimed that they trusted Trump better with handling immigration than they did Biden. Trump was leading in the poll by a 22-point margin, marking an increase since the 17 points during the poll in December.
This latest poll comes right as the House GOP has been trying to find a way to kill the bipartisan border bills that the Senators have been trying to reach an agreement on for weeks. The House Republicans are also trying to push forward the impeachment articles against Alejandro Mayorkas, the Homeland Security Secretary, which is a move that is unlikely to receive any support from Senate Democrats.
The poll also determined that Trump is currently leading the race in seven of the swing states by around 6 percentage points in a hypothetical head-to-head match-up.
